    Year Number 57-FINISHED!

The 57th RHUMC Barbecue has finally come to a close! It was another great year as our church family came together and worked their tails off to pull this off! Thanks to our great leadership team for this year, the big day went off without a hitch! We have never been as prepared for a Barbecue as we were for this year! Everything was set out and ready to go by Saturday morning and everything ran on schedule throughout the day! A special thanks goes out to all the people that have been praying for us as we have worked on this huge project!

    Waiting

So, it's 12:18 AM. I'm laying on the couch in the AA room at RHUMC listening to two gigantic refrigerated trucks growl in the night. As usual in this situation, I can't sleep. Tomorrow is the big day, the 57th Annual RHUMC Barbecue and Bazaar! We've all spent week planning and preparing for this great event! As I've said before, please be in prayer for us tomorrow. Everyone is tired from a long week! Please be especially praying our two chairs: Tommy Wyatt and JT Thomas. They've worked their tails off this week, and both of them are dead tired! Thanks for the prayers!

    What's Next?

Well, band is finally over! Our last competetion was two weeks ago and we're so glad to be finished! It's been a great season, but we're all ready for a rest! I got home from school on our first night of no rehearsel, and I honestly didn't know what to do! It's great to come home in the afternoon and do nothing!!

So, what's next? the 57th Annual RHUMC Barbecue! That's what! The Barbecue is next Saturday, November 22nd! For the past few weeks, every one at RHUMC has been gearing up for our biggest event of the year! Hours and hours of work are being put into this big day! Thousands of pounds of pork will be smoked over an open pit. Hundreds of servings of spiced apples and potatoe salad will be prepared. And, it's all happening over the next week! Please be praying for us over the next few days as we prepare for this huge undertaking!
